When we pray, we expect God to move and to change circumstances. Sometimes we pray in the privacy of our own rooms, or even without speaking. At other times we pray by speaking our words with passion and energy, believing that we are speaking not just to people within earshot, but to the spiritual environment around us.
Prayer walking is exactly what it says on the tin - it's walking, and praying for the people and the environment around us. We have done this over many years, but we're keen to pray with added enthusiasm and with anyone from our church who hasn't previously joined us because we're reminded that God loves our area, He made it, and he takes delight in his people who live here. We believe that God's love for us makes such a difference that we want others to have the opportunity to discover it for themselves. We've been praying over the summer months particularly for our area, as we have shared God's love in practical ways as well.
We were getting out of the building for one of our weekly prayer meetings to prayer walk together during the spring and summer. However, now the weather is colder, House of Prayer will take place at the Church Centre at 7pm each Tuesday evening.
